Question

Newest update limits my font access even though I'm signed in- Also you can't update the font and keep any bold/italic ect

I’m signed into my subscription of acrobat and the entire creative cloud- and suddenly I can’t access fonts- it tells me they are premium fonts not for free acounts (I pay monthly) when i reach out to adobe to help they can see I’m paying for it and the solution is to sign out and sign back in- Which i shouldn’t have to do every time. But everytime i open a document it tells me the fonts aren’t available.

Also- if i select a text box with bold and underlined and regular font- Who thought it was a good idea that i only now get a drop down menu and have to select which style of font I want to use? (Example- I have 9 options for arial and if i select arial regular, then everything is regular and it removes all the bold and underlined) it’s not just an option to change it all to arial. That is sooo stupid- I can’t just change the font selection and get everything anymore.

Such a useless update.

    Hello @Envoy5F86.

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out and sharing the details. Sorry for the trouble you had.

Could you share your exact Adobe Acrobat version from Menu/Acrobat > Help > About Adobe Acrobat, whether you’re using the desktop app or Acrobat in a browser, and your operating system?

A screenshot of the “premium fonts” message and one affected font name would also help. Please hide your email address and any document content.

    1. Confirm that Acrobat and the Creative Cloud desktop app are using the same Adobe ID.

    2. In Creative Cloud desktop, go to File > Preferences > Services, turn Adobe Fonts off and back on, then fully quit and reopen Acrobat. See Troubleshoot font addition problems in Creative Cloud | Adobe Fonts

Regarding formatting, the new font picker lists each face separately, such as Arial Regular, Bold, and Italic. Applying Arial Regular to a mixed-format selection applies that single face across the selection, so the bold/italic styling may be flattened. For now, change the font one formatting run at a time, or reapply Bold, Italic, and Underline afterwards using the Format Text controls: Format text in PDFs in Acrobat | Adobe Acrobat

I hope this helps, and please reach out if you have any questions or need any assistance.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.
