No security settings but can't be signed

Question

I am creating an application/onboarding PDF portfolio for new employees.  The forms are fillable and require signatures on most pages. I want this to work for iPhones, Androids and desktop. I have tested it out on an iPhone and everything works perfect. When I sent it out to a friend with an Android phone she said she was able to fill out the forms but it wouldn't allow her to sign due to the documents security settings. I checked the security settings : protection -> security settings -> security -> security method : no security. As far as I can tell that this the only place to check for security settings. Has anyone run in to this or figured it out?

Hi there,Hope you're doing well and thanks for reaching out.It’s good that you’ve already made your PDF fillable and checked the security settings. If the security says “No Security,” but your friend still can’t sign the PDF on their Android device, here are a couple of things to check:1. PDF App on Android: Some PDF apps don’t support signing or filling out forms properly. For example, the default viewer in Google Drive might not work well for this.Ask your friend to open the PDF using the Adobe Acrobat Reader app on their Android device. It’s free and works perfectly with fillable forms and signatures.2. Type of Signature Field: If you’re using Adobe Acrobat to create the form, make sure the right kind of signature field is used:Digital Signature Field: This one needs a certificate to work and might not be supported on all mobile apps or devices.Regular Signature Field (using the “Sign” tool): This is more user-friendly ,it lets people draw or type their signature and works well on phones and tablets.it’s better to use the regular Fill & Sign option. It’s easier and works across devices. Hope this will help.
