No way to add one's own graphic signature

I'm using Acrobat 2020. It pretends to allow me add my own graphic signature to a document, just like I could always do on earlier versions (I have uploaded a graphic signature under preferences | signatures in .tiff format)--but there appears to be no actual option under the signature tool to do this.

Leave it to Adobe's genius designers to (1) go backwards not forward in design, and (2) pretend to offer functionality that doesn't actually exist.

Top this off with the most incompetent tech support on the planet (I've been at this now for two hours with about six different people, each one dumber than the last) -- and you have Adobe the company, who has given the world nothing useful since creatiing the .pdf, while designing the worst imaginable software of any company at being able to handle its own creation.
