node.js Javascript Runtime has stopped working error constantly popping up

Hello,

We had a really old version of acrobat reader x worked liked a charm. no errors no stupid push to buy this buy that from adobe. my boss decided we should have ability to edit pdfs. we purchased the newest acrobat standard and installed. shortly after, we started to get a popup, i would say every 1-2hrs with the following error: node.js Javascript Runtime has stopped working. I googgled it and tried some of the things that were suggested. repair the acrobat install, Disable Acrobat JavaScript, rename node.exe and have a new one be created,Clear the Adobe OOBE Cache. None of this worked. We use amazon workspaces. the current operating systems are windows server 2016, all machines have 16g ram and 150g c drive and 250g d drive. I hope someone can help or point me into the right direction to solve this annoying error.
