Not being able to edit text

Hi, I have encountred a very frustrating problem with acrobat. I needed to translate a text pdf. Acrobar scans and finds every text but the proble is that when i try edit it the page updates and after a few tries it starts loading for an eternity. Worth mentioning that I had the exact same pdf but without text and there I could edit text without any problems.
