Not being able to install adobe

I just got off screen sharing with an adobe expert that could not solve my problem! I uninstalled adobe because I was not being able to download pdf file. Now I'm not being able to reinstall, I'm getting a message sayng that there a newer version in my computer, so the installation will terminate. Please help!!!
