Not converting WRD 365 drawn objects properly

Hi. I have written a training handbook, and used my stylus to draw objects (arrows etc) within Word 365. However, when I create a pdf using Adobe Acrobat Standard DC, the drawn objects are replaced with strange boxes. I assumed it was a Word setting, but 'print drawings created in Word' is selected. Can anyone help?

Hi. As an update to my post above. The training handbook is 100 pages long. If I cut and paste one page including the drawn objects and make a new Word file, then pdf it, it works fine. But when I pdf the whole 100 page document it seems to not be able to convert the drawn objects properly. Any help would be appreciated.
