Number on box is NOT serial number, now what?

I have the Student edition of Acrobat Pro 2017. There is a 19 digit # on the box, right under SCAN TO ACTIVATE..

I have attempted to enter this number as the serial # and Adobe says "Not Valid Serial Number". I see no way to validate my student status and today is the last day of the 7 day "trial" period.

It may be several different things, but Adobe wouldn't put an actual serial number on the outside of the box. What it is depends on how it was sold. Where did you buy it?
