Media inside a PDF seldom plays correctly. PDFs are print format. PDFs saved to the Publish Online environment have the best option for working consistently across platforms and devices, but even then, often there are problems.

What is being used to open the PDF on teh mobile? It may be that the app doesn't support plaback of audio in the pdf.
