Occurrences statistics in few thousand .pdf files

Hello everybody,

I have to search for occurrences in a few thousand .pdf files to assess the citation of a term. Do you have any recommendations in Adobe Suite or other methods/software capable of performing this kind of statistics? It will be great to have the number of occurrence of a term for each files in one .csv file.
