Old Version 10.6 Wanted for Mac

I want to buy older version Adobe Acrobat Version 10.6 for a new Mac.  My new Adobe Acrobat Pro does not create permanent watermarks.

Nothing changed in the way Acrobat applies or edits watermarks. If you don't want the user to be able to remove them (not easily, anyway) then you need to protect the file, by either digitally signing it and/or applying a security policy that prevents editing it.

Exporting the file to images is also a way of doing it, but it has a lot of downsides, too.

Unfortunately, Acrobat 10x doesn’t run on ARM-based Macs (Mx series).
To use Acrobat on an ARM Mac, you’ll need Acrobat DC 2018 or later. LINK

What do you mean by that? What have you tried, and what were the results?

IMy MacBook Pro 2012  had Adobe version 10.6 I used for creating permanent watermarks on our documents available for download to prevent alteration redistribution of the documents with altered data.  When the 2012 Mac died, I purchased a new Mac Book Pro and installed the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat that will remove watermarks. I tried using my wife's 2025 Adobe Acrobat version, and it allows Watermarks to be removed.  From this forum I read the only way to get a permanent watermarks now is to save the document as a .jpg.

not possible.

1. you can install the latest and 1 version prior versions using the cc desktop app. you must have a subscription because previous versions are not available with trials. other versions are revealed after clicking file preferences>apps>tick show older apps (at panel bottom).

2. no other versions are available
