opening a document

I purchased Adobe Pro, and when I try to open the document a message pops up to "Begin Free Trial". Is this a download issue? Have lots to read and need to get this done. THANKS

In order to use Acrobat you must either have a valid license or subscription, or you can use the free trial version for 7 days (which is then converted automatically to a paid subscription, unless you cancel it in time).

If you just want to view a PDF file, though, then you should use the free Acrobat Reader: https://get.adobe.com/reader/
