Opening a PDF Link on Mobile

I've created a PDF document that has an embeded link that is set to open a webpage.  This link will open fine when a user clicks on it from a desktop application, but it does not work when the user is on a mobile phone or ipad.

I've also just created a general link URL on the PDF which is also not opening the expected webpage.

I've gone into the Acrobat Pro DC.

I've clicked to Edit the PDF

I've selected View Web Links and I can see the details.

Is there a solution to this?

The links work fine in Adobe Acrobat Reader for Android. The plain-text URL is not converted to a clickable link, though.

It all depends on which PDF viewer your mobile device has.

Acrobat is the preferred app.

PDF viewers inside mobile web browsers are probably the worst for interacting with PDF content and forms.
