Opening multiple tabs in one Window (Adobe Acrobat XI 11.0.23)

I have Adobe Acrobat XI 11.0.23 installed by my company and i can't seem to find an option to open multiple tabs in one window. I checked several other previous posts , which refered to enabling the option for "Open documents as new tabs i the same window", however this option does not exist to begin with. Is there an alternative way?

The option is available in Adobe Acrobat DC.

So what do we do when Acrobat updates it to version XI?

Ignore that! I just realised, from looking at comments, that XI is older. My Acrobat Reader had somehow reverted to version XI after an update (Acrobat Reader updates are very annoying because the computer slows down for some time before they happen) so I thought that was an update to DC.
