OPening PDF gives me ad to upgrade and I can't access PDF.

I have  Adobe Acrobat Export PDF, Creative Cloud, a paid subscription.

When I went to use it today after 10 months of not using it, I was asked to upgrade. I said no. I saw that it allowed me to have Acrobat on my desktop rather than online so I downloaded that. What a mess. The download failed saying I didn’t have rights. Now, when I open a pdf on my computer, it gives me the ad to upgrade to Adobe Pro. When I click the ad away, the pdf also goes away.

  • The online Acrobat is terrible to use. The download capability is hidden. So unfriendly. I used to be able to do a lot of things but those options are now part of Adobe Pro.
  • How do I fix the pdf opening up to the ad?

Hello,

I hope you're doing well. Apologies for the delayed response and for trouble.

I checked your account (email) used to log in to the community, and it is linked to Acrobat Export PDF services. This service allows you to convert PDFs into editable Microsoft Word, Excel, or RTF documents using a web browser, Adobe Acrobat Reader (desktop), or a mobile device.

If you're using Acrobat Export PDF with the Acrobat desktop app, you might see an upgrade message. This is because the service only supports exporting PDFs and does not include the full Acrobat features.

For more details, you can refer to these articles:

If needed, you can uninstall Acrobat using the Cleaner tool, then install the free Acrobat Reader. After that, sign in with your Adobe ID (email) to use Acrobat Export PDF services.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Thanks for responding but I had already figured out that something was wrong with my app so I  was able to fix it by uninstalling Adobe Acrobat completely from my computer. Then I reinstalled and the correction was made.
