Organize Tool opens in browser, not within the application.

Whenever I try to use the organize tool, it opens a tab in my browser, rather than just opening the tool within the Reader DC app itself. This is ok for one-off uses, but I use it a lot in work, and the only option to save locally from the browser is into my Downloads folder. Is there a setting I need to change so that I can use the Organize Tool without using the browser?

Use Adobe Acrobat!

I know this a very old post but i came here as I was having the same issue. Hopefully you have found he solution but if not, here is what you need to do.  Although you have the paid subscription you still need to install the premium features on your desktop app.

when you get direced to the browser, there is a menu in the top right hand corner "Get Your Apps" - click on Acrobat pro and then it will start installing the premium features to your desktop app.

Hope this helps any one else looking for this solution!

Thank you for sharing your observations and suggestions.

Since Adobe now has a unified installer, what that means is - if one has Reader (a freeware app) installed on the computer and down the line one has purchased a subscription on the same Adobe ID and logged in on Reader. As soon as the subscription becomes active and the next time when you launch Reader - it will turn into Acrobat.

If that doesn't work, you may download the Acrobat installer here: https://adobe.ly/4hflNyl and log in with your Adobe ID.

I have the same problem and am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.  Did you ever get an answer?

Can you tell us which version of Reader, and operating system you are using?  It may be a setting in the OS (or browser), not Reader itself.  The more you can tell us, the better chance of troubleshooting.

My best,

Dave
