Outlook PDF Preview not working on PDFs with invalid signatures

Hello Adobe Community!

We've run into an issue with some devices in which the Adobe Acrobat integrated preview with Outlook cannot preview PDF files that contain an invalid signature. When attempting to preview the file in Outlook, a "File not found" error appears.

When opening the file via double-click, the PDF opens in Adobe as expected and displays a banner at the top indicating "At least one signature has problems." In the example I have, the signature was created via a self-signed certificate so it is not trusted; however, we are looking to see if we can resolve the "file not found" error and not looking at this specific instance.

Have any of you experienced this problem before with signatures causing the PDF Preview Handler to display the file not found error?
