Question

Outlook vs. web-based email attachments

When sending e-mails, if I use Outlook and click on the e-mail envelope, the e-mail opens with the pdf attachment. I add my remarks and send it. If I use web-based e-mail, I must download the pdf, save it to folder, compose the e-mail, attach the pdf and then send it. While this is not a lot of extra work for one e-mail, it is very time consuming when I am sending about two dozen of daily reports this way. I do not want to send links, only the pdf. Is there some way to exepedite the web-based procedure?

Hi @Sarah5782

Thanks for reaching out.

When sending e-mails, if I use Outlook and click on the e-mail envelope, the e-mail opens with the pdf attachment.

That's correct! When using Outlook as a default email, the email opens with the pdf attachment. But only when you have the "Send as link" radio button off. Which is right under the neath of Send by Email dialog.

You mean something like Gmail or any other webmail, right? Have you checked this option?

If you keep this "send as link" button off, then webmail will also attach a copy of the pdf directly to your email.

Hope I understood your question correctly. If not, please let us know what we are missing here.

Thanks,

Akanchha

When I use the webmail option (Gmail), the email opens but without the attachment (It also opens a new inbox in a new tab). The Send as a Link option is off. I have to save the pdf to a folder and then attach it to the email.
