Overlapping bleeds when using Print Booklet

Two things going on here I can't figure out. I have bleeds on all four sides of my layout. Doc Settings has bleeds set to 1/4".  When I use Print Booklet, my printer spreads are created, but the bleeding part of the image is showing up on the abutting pages in the printer spread output. Any direction will be greatly appreciated.
