PAC error from identical pdf files different ID versions

Question

So I have a showstopper problem. A pdf generated from ID2022 passes teh PAC 2021 checker. but teh same file - opened in ID 2024 generates a pdf that gives the dreaded "object reference not set to an instance of teh object". The files are to all intents identical - only one was generated form InDesign 2022 version and passes PAC while the same file opened in ID2024, generated pdf gives the above error - I have made tests with just one page of the file and tried to compare but cannot see what the difference is. Please can someone help or suggest somethign to try.

The Acrobat Preflight fixup "Fix Potential Font Problems" will resolve this error, but I read that this is in fact a PAC error and  an updated version (due on 11/28) will fix it. See https://support.axes4.com/hc/en-us/articles/7371921627794-PDF-Accessibility-Checker-PAC-2021 on or after that date.
