Question

"Pages" pane keeps going back up a few pages after rotating later pages

Hello, I'm experiencing an issue with Adobe Acrobat to where when I go to rotate pages that aren't oriented correctly I would scroll down to find more of those affected pages and as I continue to scroll down, it would jump back up a few pages and would need to scroll down to find the pages again. The already corrected pages would stay corrected but it is rather inconvenient having to scroll again to look for more pages. The PDF is pretty large as it holds about 1000 + pages. Im currently using a desktop with a Intel Core i7, Intel integrated graphics, 16 GB of RAM, and am currently using Adobe Acrob ver. 24.

I referred back to this post as well as others regarding this issue in Acrobat as I tried to assist a user from Friday to Monday regarding this issue, and the best workaround for this after chexking fir  any updates, attempting to repair, clear cache, and adjust a few more settings would be to have the user select the “organize pages” button and use that as a workaround. I can’t seem to find an actual solution as this seems to be a known issue with larger documents when using Acrobat

Hi Vibrant_grace46cc,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.

We attempted to replicate the problem on our end, but we couldn't reproduce it. Please ensure that you have updated the application to the latest version. To know more about the latest version available, you may refer to the following page: Acrobat Release Notes.

You may also try reinstalling the application to see if that changes this behaviour. Please use the steps as suggested below:

  • Uninstall the application and run the cleaner tool from the following link: Acrobat Cleaner tool.

  • Reboot the machine.

  • Install Adobe Acrobat from the following page: Install Acrobat.

If you continue to experience the same issue, we would appreciate your help in providing the following information to investigate this further:

  • A short video demonstrating the issue.

  • A sample file that we can use to try to reproduce the problem.

  • The current version number of Acrobat that you are using.

  • The operating system is installed on your machine.

We will share these details with the product team for further investigation.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need assistance.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi @leonel_7290,

Sorry for the delayed response and for the troubling experience.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. To assist you effectively, could you please share a video recording demonstrating the problem? This will help us analyze and address the issue more precisely. Additionally, please provide the following details:

Adobe Acrobat version: You can find this information by navigating to Help > About Adobe Acrobat.

Operating System: For example, Windows 10, macOS Monterey, etc.

In the meantime, you may want to use Organize Pages to rotate pages without having to use the page panel, and I personally feel the Organize Pages feature would be more convenient. https://adobe.ly/4jd6bgQ;

We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to resolving this for you.

Thank you,
