Pasting Text into existing text fields

Is there are a way to make the default setting for pasting text into an existing field match the existing font and size?

It seems ludicrous that this is not the default, and that I cannot find a way to change it easily....

Disable the Rich Text Formatting option for the field.

Just to clarify... I am dropping text box comments into forms that are not auto-fill. And I am copying data from other documents that I do not wish to waste time retyping. Will this resolve this?

Actually, that made things less clear. So are you copying entire comments
from one PDF file to another? Entire form fields? Or just the text from
form fields into other fields?
