Hello,

I need to save in PDF 1.5 with compatibility with Adobe 5. I have Windows 8.1, which is incompatible with Adobe 6 (1.5). Which version of Adobe allows me to save that version of PDF documents? Thank you for your help.

If you disagree, please say so INSTEAD OF IGNORING THE REPLY!!

Sorry, I didn't ignore your answer, I'm just trying to understand what the plugin developer is asking me. It's already clear that his formula "PDF 1.5 compatible with Acrobate 5" doesn't make any sense. Before asking this forum I googled the issue, and for the first time in ten years I didn't find the solution. I suppose that this guy, that I don't know and it's just the developer of one of the many Word Press plugins, has not idea of what he's talking about. I'm just interested to a solution because I purchased a licence, and need to make sure before I ask a refound if the plugin is useless.

I thank you both for the help. I understand that this developer needs to see deeper in this issue.

Have both a great day.

Sorry to be seem to be rude, but is my reply not clear enough? I do not know how to be any more clear that a mistake has been made and what you are asking for DOES NOT EXIST.

If by "Adobe 5" you mean "Acrobat 5/Reader5" Your first statement is wrong. To read PDF 1.5 version 6 or later is needed. But I have no idea why you want to install old software. Acrobat DC Pro has a Save as ... optimzed PDF function which can do that.

Hello, thank you for helping. Sorry for the confusion, but when I posted I was debilitated by a long day devoted to this puzzle.

Right, I mean Adobe Acrobat 5. This is my problem. In order to upload a document PDF to a Plugin the developer asks me to produce documents PDF 1.5 compatible with Acrobat 5 for encription reasons.

My problem is this: searching in Internet I understand that version 1.5 belongs to Acrobat 6. I can't install it and make documents compatible with Acrobat 5 because I have Windows 8.1. My question is which of the most recent programs, starting from Acrobat 9 PRO allows me to produce documents PDF 1.5 for Acrobat 5.

I was able to produce PDF 1.5, but for Acrobat 6. How can I make them version 1.5 for Acrobat 5?

I reasonably suppose that if they developed a Plugin with this feature, it means that this is reasonably possible.

You misunderstood what "Acrobat 1.5 for Acrobat 6" means. It doesn't means that it is saved in a special manner for that specific version. It means that Acrobat 6 was developed to handle files of PDF version up to version 1.5. The PDF version and the Acrobat version have nothing to do with each other. If the file is saved as PDF version 1.5 then that's the version it has.

Maybe ask the developer for a more clear description of what they need... It seems they just confused you with this conflicting information.
