Tell the Acrobat engineers and marketing department to ditch this new "Modern" Acrobat interface. It doesn't work.

Hi @weklewe

It seems you have got Acrobat's new interface. With this Modern Viewer, toolbar positioning has been changed.

Page numbering and up-down arrows are moved to the right-hand side panel and the All Tools menu to the left.

To Know more about the Modern Viewer, please go through this help article once: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/new-acrobat-experience.html

Thanks,

Akanchha

"Modern Viewer" is hardly modern.

It's a throwback to the 1990s when software was iconicized to the point that users couldn't figure out what all the icons and buttons and cutsie thingies did.

Gah! Let's bring back disco and polyester leisure suits while we're at it.

The "modern viewer" is about as modern as an Edsel car. Can only conclude that Adobe's recent use of the term in the forums is pure gaslighting of Adobe's customers. Or maybe lipstick on a pig. Choose your preferred metafore.

No one likes the interface, no matter what term Adobe now calls it.

It's Acrobat's new interface design, which is drastically different from what we had before.

You can restore the regular interface:

  • File (that's the 3-bar "hamburger" menu in the upper left)
  • Disable New Acrobat

If you're on a Mac, it's under the View menu.
