PDF changing colors when uploaded to Wordpress

Hi everyone,

 

When I upload a document to wordpress, the title page colors are completely changed. I have tried converting the color scheme of the PDF to RGB, but that does not work either. I have tried to search for common fixes, even changing things around in the original inDesign file. The PDF opens normally with original colors. It is just when uploaded to the internet. 

 

Has anyone else experienced this problem? (see images)

The replies here are wrong, or misunderstand the original post.

 

When exporting your PDF out of InDesign, you want to convert your destination to sRGB.

 

Output > Convert to Destination > sRGB IEC61966-2.1

 

Ink Manager > All Spots to Process checked (if you have spot colors)

 

The original post is describing the preview .jpg image generated by Wordpress. Not the PDF file itself.

 

The Wordpress image engine was trying to make an RGB preview image from a CMYK PDF. And doing a bad job.

 

I had the same issue. My PDF had a large block of solid Cyan. The generated Wordpress preview image changed the Cyan into an ugly blueish green color.

The problem isn't with the file, it's with the viewer. Very few PDF viewers other than Adobe's fully support the PDF color models that are used by InDesign.

Thanks for the response. Do you have any suggestions of what I can do to fix this?

There is no fix. It's like trying to fix a blurry newspaper when what you really need are better glasses

Are you opening the file inside the browser window?

When I open the file inside the browser window, it has the correct colors. The media preview is showing the different colors in the second image above.

What "media preview", exactly? Under what application?
