I am using Acrobat DC latest version for PDF compare.

I just doing textual compare alone, no formatting compare. purely text only.  But while doing it shows the below error

Below is the option i am selecting while doing Textual compare

In the below report it shows space between the word “proponent”  but visually there is no space between that word in PDFit shows as error any one know why it shows. I also copied that content from the file and paste in finder it not show any space refer the below screen shot.

I also compare the same file in Acrobat 8 it not show this error.

Thanks

    Hi ganesh_2836,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble caused.

As shown in the screenshot you shared, the fonts in both documents look different. Even though you selected Textual Compare only, Acrobat DC does not rely on visual appearance alone. Instead, it compares the underlying text structure inside the PDF.

You mentioned that Acrobat 8 does not show the error because it uses a much older comparison engine. Acrobat's latest version uses a more advanced, stricter text-extraction engine, which is why it flags subtle differences that Acrobat 8 silently ignored.

Please confirm if you have one of the documents scanned. That could be the reason. Would you mind sharing both the PDFs, of the page of the PDFs with us so we can check. You can extract the respective pages from both the PDF and share them.

Also, please share the current version number of Acrobat.

Let us know if you need any help.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

    Hi ganesh_2836,

Thank you for sharing the files and the screenshot.

We do understand that both files are editable. However, we would like to know how both files were created. The fonts in both PDFs appear different.

We will review the shared PDFs and update you with our findings.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi
