'PDF creation program' and 'application' what's different

Hi Adobe team, I would like to ask about the meaning of these two lines: 'PDF creation program' and 'application'?

    As the name depicts 'PDF Producer' is the name of the application used for creating the PDF. On the other hand the 'Application' name under the 'Modified' date is the one used to alter the PDF.
