PDF editable form to non editable in Reader
The scenario:
Department A wants an editable form for them to fill and complete and then send to Department B. However, Dept. A doesn't want Dept B to be able to edit the information that was put into the form, so in essence need to turn off form fields. Dept. A does not have Adobe pro version to work with, only reader.
Having scoured the internet and this forum, the only was I can see is to flatten the form before sending, which seems to be an option in an IOS app, or in previous versions of acrobat, but not available now.
Is this possible without them having to send the completed form back to me, the designer, who holds the keys to the gates of CC, to flatten and send back to Dept A for them to distribute?
I might add, this is actually an 8 pg document whereby only 3 pages have editable fields. So turning it into an image is not an option.
Thanks in advance.
****EDIT*** SOLVED!!!
Sorry, obviously didn't look hard enough. Opened the document in reader, printed to pdf. Boom. Fields flattened.
