PDF file disappeared

@evan_7190 ouch! There are several factors or ways to see besides using recovering the data companies to retrieve th data. I know if I I am working on a file, and if it's important, I always make a back-up one to my computer and one cloud (after a few months, I also back it up to external hard-drives). Sometimes, I forget and I would try different ways in finding a file...

• search your operating system's file history or version history features, as these may contain previous versions of the file (do a file search too)
• if you use cloud storage services like Adobe Document Cloud, Dropbox, or OneDrive, Google Drive, iCloud, etc check to see if it's there
• by any chance did you over-write it?
• or worse, have you consider the possibility of file corruption
• try opening the PDF with a different PDF viewer to rule out display glitches
