Hi my PDF file created using Adobe Acrobat DC is too large to email. How do I reduce the file size? Thanks.

Note that one cannot legislate the size of a PDF file. The primary factors that yield large PDF files are:

(1)  A combination of many, large, and/or very high resolution raster images. For this situation, your choice is to either limit the number of images and/or reduce the resolution or compression quality of those images. Of course, at some point, if you overdo it, you can end up with images that are pixelated and/or too low quality.

(2)  Exceptionally-complex vector diagrams, especially those coming from CAD software. Such vector diagrams can be converted into raster images that might be smaller, but you might end up with the problems of (1) above.

Generally, the numer of pages itself is not a factor in PDF file size. It's what's on those pages!  😁

Thanks Bernd Alheit, I sent the file as a cloud link in my email which I hope works for the receiver.

My base document has a lot of images and text and is 96 pages long which is why the file is so large.
