PDF files appearing blank when I open them via Adobe Acrobat Reader

When I try to open a PDF document with Adobe Reader, I get a blank page. Every other PDF reader has been able to display the PDF files without any problems. I have used different versions and different workstations. Is there anything currently known about this?
