pdf files printing very light

I have tried printing as a picture, calling the printer company, etc.  All pdfs are not printing well, other documents are printing just fine.  To be clear the file shows up when printed, but it is extremely light and not really readable.

If you are on Windows, make sure you turn off the toner saver feature available in the Acrobat / Reader print dialog.

We need more information to go on. Printer? Printer Driver? Printer Driver Settings (perhaps the printer is set to print in draft or toner saver mode)? Is this on all pdfs or just some pdfs? What version of Acrobat? What OS?
