PDF Form field font not being preserved after adobe signing

Hi all, running into a formatting issue when using Adobe Sign.

I have a branded PDF form with custom fonts for the editable fields. Opening the PDF from the desktop preserves the custom fonts. However when you do Fill and Sign, the fonts dfault to whatever Acrobat's default font is. The customer text colours remain.

Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.

Hi thanks for the reply. I thought I answered back with my own solution. It turns out you only have a small selection of fonts you can use for text fields when using Adobe Sign (Fill and Sign) from within Adobe Acrobat.

The answer I was looking for can be found here - https://helpx.adobe.com/in/sign/using/set-field-appearance.html

Any fonts used for fillable fields outside of the standard list when sending a PDF for signing will be substituted.

I am experiencing this issue.  I have created a PDF template, and have updated all text field appearances to use Source Sans Pro size 10.  When it is saved and then selected for use, the fields have switched to Helvetica size 10, which isn't even an option to choose when setting up the template.  Please help!  It looks so unprofessional to have the font sizes vary so drastically throughout our agreements.

Hi Sarah Rothe,

Thank you for reaching out.

It is a weird behavior. When we check the screenshots, both appear from different UIs. Please confirm if the template was created in the classic UI and applied in the new UI. Can you share the template?

Could you create a new test template and check if you experience the same behavior?

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Meenakshi -

Thanks for the follow-up here.  I'm going to play the novice card here and tell you that I'm not sure how I'd be switching UIs unless organization management has a workflow set up in the background of this product.  For this process and all templates I have built that are experiencing this issue, the template was built in and is being used from the AdobeSign website log-in under my school/organization account.  I am not switching back to the app version downloaded on my organization's computer.
Can you offer suggestions as to how I might be able to better understand what to look for to determine what is classic UI and new UI?

Appreciate all the help you can provide!

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.  As described the font for the form fields changes with fill and sign, We need some more information for a better understanding:

- Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs that you fill and sign?

- What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 21.05.20048 installed. Go to Help . Check for Updates

- What is the workflow/steps you are doing to fill and sign the PDF file?

- Have you created the PDF form or have you got it from a different user? Would you mind sharing the form with us so that we can check it at our end. https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/sharing-pdfs.html

We are here for help, just need more information.

Regards

Amal
