The best way to do that is to digitally sign the form, setting the signature to lock the document.

Thanks Thom, but I'm not that technical.

I'm on a Mac, I've opened up the Acrobat app package but don't know where to go from there.

Instructions say "The script file can be placed in either the "User" or "App" JavaScript
folder."

But don't know where they are?

It's really a pain trying to install the folder level scripts manually. It's especially bothersome that Adobe has provided so little support in Acrobat for this task. You'd think that there would be some kind of standardized methodology built into Acrobat. 

 

So I know the application JavaScript folder already exists, because Acrobat has it's own folder level scripts. I'd suggest looking down the "Resources" path. Try using the search tool as well.
