PDF Formular wird fehlerhaft angezeigt

Hallo zusammen,

Correct answer Amal.

Hi there,

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

It sounds like the issue is specific to the environment or settings on those two systems rather than the PDF itself, especially since the same file works correctly for others.

Here are a few things you can check:

1. Protected Mode / Enhanced Security:

  • In Acrobat or Reader, go to Preferences (Ctrl,Cmd+K) > Security (Enhanced).
  • Temporarily disable Enable Protected Mode at startup and Enable Enhanced Security to test if the form fields then display properly.
  • If this resolves the issue, you can re-enable them and add the file’s location as a trusted path.

2. Display Preferences:

  • Ensure Highlight Color for Fields is enabled under Edit > Preferences > Forms > Highlight Color.
  • Check if the option Show border hover color for fields is also turned on.

3. Repair Installation:

Go to Help > Repair Installation to fix any potential file corruption in Acrobat/Reader.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Amal,

thanks for your quick reply.

Thank you for your suggestions! I have tried all three, but none of them led to the desired result. In the meantime, I have tested the mentioned PDF with 11 people, and for three of them, it is malfunctioning, with the error always being the same: the blue text fields are not displayed, and text can only be added as a comment in a speech bubble. These three test persons have in common that they are using the same operating system (Windows 11) and the latest version of Adobe Acrobat (version 25.1). The other users, for whom the PDF looks and works smoothly, are using different work environments, at least two of them also using the mentioned setup. Even on Mac and iPhone, the PDF works as intended, although I did not create it for that use. Is there anything else I could try or that could fix the problem?

Hi there

Thanks for sharing the details. Could you please share the affected PDF file so we can check it at our end? Also, if possible, share a small video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue as it occurs for more clarity.
