Question

PDF items opened from Outlook, do not show up in the Acrobat Home Page view.

One of my users opens multiple pdf items from Outlook, but they never show up in his Acrobat Pro Home Page recent files view.  We have confirmed that when he opens PDF items from Windows Explorer, they open into Acrobat and do show up on his Home Page recent files list.

Is there something we can do to have the Outlook pdf items show up in his Home Page recent files list?

Hi @mel_5560,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble with Acrobat.

We tried the workflow, but could not reproduce the issue.

Please try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and reboot the computer once, and check.

You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/4e7Pyja...

If this doesn't work, try running the Acrobat cleaner tool https://adobe.ly/4f5EO5U, reboot the computer once, and installing the application using the direct link https://adobe.ly/4e97nhB and see if that works for you.

Interesting, because the Adobe Support people say it's a known issue and the only resolution is to change to Acrobat 2020.

I'll try what you suggest.

Mel

@mel_5560 Sure.

Also, when at it, you might want to try this:

Go to Start Menu-> Registry Editor-> go to location: HKEY_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Adobe\(product name)\(version)\FeatureLockDown

Add DWord bMixRecentFilesFeatureLockDown and change the value to 0.

Note: Please make sure that all Office apps and Acrobat are closed when making the change.

Hope this helps.
