Question

PDF jumps to other pages when scrolling

I have a pdf produced from a word document using the PDF maker plugin that jumps to incorrect pages when scrolling to the next page. It can jump back or forwards, and it jumps by more than one page. E.g. I'll be on p190, scroll down to go to p191, but end on on p130. The jumps are either happening inconsistently, or are only happening the first time I scroll past an affected page.

This problem occurs when viewing the pdf in acrobat reader and foxit on different computers. Recreating the PDF did not help.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on, or how to fix it?

Hi Scott

We are sorry for the trouble. As described the PDF jumps to other pages when scrolling.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC installed and the OS? To check the version of the application please use the help article - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html
Make sure you have the latest version installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates.

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs that you try to scroll? Please try scrolling a different PDF and check. Also, try to recreate the PDF from the file menu of the Adobe Acrobat DC. Go to File > Create > PDF from file and see if that makes any difference.
If its an issue with a specific file please share the file with us for testing. Please upload the file on the document cloud (https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/) generate the link and share the link with us.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
