Hi,

If i would like to buy a license that combines the below items, do i need to to buy a license and an add-on or does adobe acrobat pro include all of them:

1)  Create and combine pdf files.

2) Convert files to and from pdf to other formats.

3) Edit pdf files.

4) Build and fill pdf forms.

5) Secure pdfs.

6) Allow for signature and certifying (e-signature and digital signature) on pdfs.

7) Batch OCR  and edit OCR

Hi @NUREIN25996118w4gf ,

you posted in the InDesign user forum and not in the Acrobat one.

Your questions describe possible features of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and not InDesign.

When it comes to InDesign:

1 and 2: yes, you can export PDFs from InDesign pages, yes you can place PDFs on InDesign pages and export all the pages to PDF again in one go.

3 is a simple no, you cannot edit PDFs.

4 is a feature that is partly supported in InDesign. Without Acrobat Pro you cannot do much.

The same with 5. No on 6 and 7.

Now to Acrobat Pro DC:

At least to my knowledge items 1 to 4 can be done with Acrobat Pro DC.

Where item 3 is a weak point, because you need perhaps Illustrator and PhotoShop if you want to edit graphic vector elements and pixel images. There is capability for text editing, but I would never seriously use that for production work. My background is the printing industry.

Please clarify item 5.

What kind of security do you need?

I'm unsure with item 6, there are capabilities for digitial signature in Acrobat Pro DC, but I never used them so I do not know if they qualify for the thing you call "e-signature".

Item 7, well, Acrobat Pro DC is able to do OCR on images that are opened as PDF.

If that can be run in batch mode? I'm not sure. Also I'm not sure of the quality of the OCR.

Better ask all this in the Acrobat user forum:
