PDF looks perfect on screen, but prints out missing many elements

Sorry for the delayed response and troubled experience. Thank you for sharing the file. It helps. 

As you already know, the file wasn't created using Acrobat or Adobe. I checked it and ran some tests. It has several issues. I have attached screenshots of the reports. Please check. 

Since you own Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can run these tests and try fixing them using Acrobat: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/correcting-problem-areas-preflight-tool.html , launch Acrobat, open your file, Click on All tools:

• "Use Print Production" > Preflight.
• Preflight > Profiles> Try "PDF analysis" and "PDF fixups"
• The tool will try to fix the problems with the file; if the reports are successful, try printing again.

Have you tried to create your CV in InDesign or even Illustrator? 

My experiences with trying to use Word as a Page Layout application has never had a happy ending. Writing letters, sure, but Page Layout? Never. 

I know that doesn't answer your question, but when working with computers, I've found that it's often better to get the job done than to try to get the job done the way you think it should be done.

@curtis_9835 Are your printing from a Word to PDF to the printer or Word to the printer?

If if its Word to PDF,  make sure in the Word Preferences that the fonts are embedded in your PDF. 

Check to make sure you have the latest driver, update and firmware for your printer on your MAC. It sounds like you had no problem in the past, so you just need to update your printer to Acrobat
