PDF not deleting Win10 while Adobe open

When i am working with files and have a longer file name or ther are numbers in the name other than 1, the PDF file will not delete. Windows pops message that the file is open in Adobe. 

The file is not open anywhere on my system, File Explorer preview pane is off.

While Adobe app is open, the system will not allow the file to be deleted. 

Any ideas?

Hi @JustARgulrGuy,

 

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience! 

 

When you see such an error, have you checked by going to the Task Manager to see how many instances of Acrobat are open in your system? If you see only one, you can also check by clicking the dropdown arrow to the left of Acrobat to check for any open PDFs. 

If found, close those processes leaving one and try again.

 

If this is not the case, please share a screenshot of the error, so we can get this investigated further.
