PDF printer freezing with Microsoft Office 2016

We have four computers running Microsoft Office 365 on monthly subscription.  On two of them we used, a few days ago, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Publisher to print PDF's using the PDF driver.  On the same day we found that on both computers we could no longer print a PDF file using either Microsoft Word or Microsoft Publisher.  The print driver dialogue box displays, the speedometer ribbon goes halfway, and it freezes.  Both computers use Windows 8.1.  Both use Adobe CS6 Design Suite.

The third computer using Microsoft Office and Acrobat DC from the cloud seems to have no problems.

Anyone have any ideas of WHAT happened and HOW to FIX the situation.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Montana-Guy,

Please try once the troubleshooting steps provided in this help document: Troubleshoot Windows system errors, freezes | Adobe software

Have you tried "Create PDF" option under File menu in Adobe Acrobat application?

Could you please confirm the dot version of Adobe Acrobat DC installed on the system.

To check dot version, open the application and go to Help menu >About Adobe Acrobat DC.

Please also share the exact steps you do to create PDF.

Regards,

Meenakshi
