    Hello @Sarah25558981b0b9,

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble you had with the app.

Could you please share more details about the issue? Are you using the Acrobat desktop app or the Acrobat Reader? Are you on a Windows machine or a Mac, and what is the version?

Is it happening with all the PDFs that you are trying to share, or is it with one specific PDF? Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: Version: 26.001.21563. Planned update, May 18, 2026. Check for any pending updates by navigating to Menu > Help> Check for Updates. Install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

For testing purposes, turn off the enhanced security option from the preferences, navigate to the Menu (Windows)/Acrobat(Mac) > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) > turn off the protected mode at startup, and enhanced security > click ok, restart the app, and try the workflow. Please enable the security settings after this test.

Also, reset the app preferences once, and restart the machine. To reset the preferences, check this article: https://adobe.ly/4vgoGGx

I hope this helps, and let us know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.

Hi Anand, I am using Adobe Acrobat version 2025.001.21111 Unified desktop App. I am on a Mac. It is happening with all PDFs I am trying to share. Although my version is not the one you have listed as the latest, there doesn’t appear to be an update available for me to install. I’m in Australia, are all updates pushed out simultaneously?
I have run through all your instructions and unfortunately the issue has not been resolved. There has been a slight change to the appearance of the blank white box, when I select ‘share’. I now get what looks like a time indicator/circle. However this circle does not animate and does not change. I have tried waiting for long periods, to see if it changes, but it doesn’t change, it just goes back to a blank white box. I’ve attached an image of what I see.

Thanks for your help, is there anything else I can try?

@Sarah25558981b0b9 Thanks for sharing the details.

Is it a personal machine, or an IT-managed machine? If it is managed by your organization, then please ask the IT team to install the latest build of Acrobat and then try the workflow.

Also, if you are able to access the app’s Preferences, then navigate to Acrobat > Preferences > General > un-check the " show online storage when opening files and saving files options. Click OK, restart the app, and try the workflow.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.
