PDF showing gaps in the middle of words when printed

Hi there, 

 

I have a pdf that was created from InDesign. The pdf looks fine on screen, but when I print it, it shows odd gaps in the middle of words. 

 

The font is Figtree and it's showing as an embedded subset in the pdf. 

 

I have tired uninstalling the font and installing a fresh version, and then exporting.

    Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

     

    Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

     

    What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.08.20470 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

     

    Also check for any pending/missing updates for printer driver and firmware and try updating it, you may also try to remove the printer driver from the computer, reboot and reinstall the driver from the printer manufacturer website and check.

    It is just that pdf. And I have many pdf of the same font that don't have the issue. 

     

    The problem happens in Acrobat Pro 2023.008.20470 and in Acrobat Reader 2023.008.20470.

     

    Printer driver and firmware are up-to-date. I have many other pdfs with the same font that don't have that same issue.

    Hi there

     

    As it is a file specific issue, there isn't much that we can do. PLease try to recreate the PDF filer from the source file and see if that helps.
