PDF to Powerpoint > Encounters some glitches
Hi there,
As a creative agency, we often get requests from clients to "beautify" some of their Powerpoint presentations.
We have tried quite a few times to rework those presentation directly in Powerpoint, but as some of you may have already experienced, the Powerpoint software in unintuitive at best, or simply unefficient in terms of design if you want to reach a certain level of customization, or work fast.
Since the option to save pdf files as editable Powerpoint presentations is available in the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat, we have happily embraced it and changed our process, redesigning presentations in InDesign from scratch, exporting them as pdf documents, and finally converting them into editable PPT presentations from Adobe Acrobat.
The conversion results have prooved to be reliable (I would say 90% reliable), even if some finetuning is always needed in Powerpoint afterwards, but some elements are still lost on the way like :
- Dropped shadows
- Rectangle with rounded corners
- Dotted lines
- Blending modes
All those design elements & features get glitched and/or lost on the way once converted in Powerpoint.
Any idea of getting around this problem? Or is any plan to fix this in a near future? This would really help us to save some time (and gray hair) on those projects.
Thank you!
Yann
