PDF toolbars

All of my toolbars have disappeared on all of my pdfs and I cannot get them to reappear. I don't know what to do. I tried to use the F8 (not that I know what it is - i just found it online) command but nothing happened. I'm not a pdf noob but i'm at a loss.

Look on the View menu under the Show/Hide entry.

Thanks for your response Thom. but I have no toolbars. I cannot access any menus. I cannot access anything. HOw do I access the view menu if can't access the toolbars? The top of the page is empty. there's nothing there so i cannot get to the view menu.

Try the F8 key.

And also post a screen shot of Acrobat, both with and without an open file.
