PDFMaker default file save location settings?

PDFMaker in Excel used to save the newly created PDF files in the same folder as the Excel file from which it was created. My computer was recently re-imagined. Since then, PDFMaker instead defaults to the most recent file folder. I much prefer the old behaviour. Is there a setting for this? I can't find one, nor do I recall ever having to do so in the past. Thanks.
