Pen won't work on web version of acrobat

Question

Please help, On the fill and sign web version my pen doesn't not scribble, it only scrolls the page. The desktop version works fine. How can I get the web version to work ?

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out.

The behavior you’re seeing is expected on the web version of Acrobat Fill & Sign. The browser interface doesn’t support freehand pen input the same way the desktop app does; it interprets pen movement as scrolling rather than drawing.

The web version is optimized for typing and placing signatures, not full freehand annotation.
Browser limitations prevent direct inking, similar to the desktop app.

Suggestions:

Use the desktop Acrobat app for full pen functionality (Fill & Sign + freehand scribbles).
Try the mobile Acrobat app (iOS/Android), which supports freehand drawing with touch or stylus.
Workaround on the web:
- Use the “Add Signature” or “Add Initials” feature to draw your signature with the pen tool.
- For general scribbles or notes, upload the file to the desktop app or mobile app.
