Permaneltly removing arrows in the perimeter measurements

Hello , I"ve tried so hard to get my answer but no luck. When I use the perimeter measurement in the "Measure Object" tool, there are always arrows at the end of my measurements.  I want to remove them permanently. I know I can right  click on a perimeter that I already made, go to properties and select "None" on the scroll down menu. I then click " Make Properties Default" so all futur perimeter measurements will not have arrows. But on my next measurements, the arrows are always back ( it works fine when I am just doing line measurements, but not perimeter measurements) . What am I doing wrong ?
