Permanently change data transfer method from native mode to memory mode

I'm running into a scanning problem in Acrobat Pro DC. I've seen a similar thread and the suggestion to change the scanner from native mode to memory mode worked. The steps they suggested are below

1)    Portfolio

a.    Go to File->Create PDF portfolio or Create PDF tool -> Multiple Files->Portfolio

b.    Add Files -> From Scanner

c.    Select a scanner and go to Custom Settings

d.    Click on Options button

e.    Here you can switch between Native and Memory mode

The problem however is that we'd like to scan using a different method (create pdf from scan in tools) so we're trying to find a way to permanently make this change. Is there a way to make this change without having to run through these steps every time?

Thank you

Hello Tristanb,

Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. AS per the description above, you want to make the scanner settings from native Mode to Memory Mode permanently, Is that correct?

With Acrobat and it's latest version, only Native mode setting is allowed. Are you facing any issue with the current settings? Do you have any specific requirements for Memory mode?

Could you please share the complete workflow to create PDF from scan tools and what are your requirements? We are here to help, just need more info.

Looking forward to your input.
