Placing page numbers on center spread

I am creating 16-page booklet with 8.5x11 pages. The two center pages (pp. 8-9) are a 11 x 17 image. When I insert page numbers, Acrobat numbers this 11x17 image as a single page. In the printed booklet I would like for the left-hand side of the page to be page 8 and the right-hand side to be page 9. Is there a way to show two page numbers on this center spread? Thank you.

Hi Davida88824,

We apologized for the delay in response to your query,

As mentioned above, centered pages two pages are images. Its an application behavior that its considering it as scanned page or one single page.

As workaround you can either split the pages or add the page numbers on it manually.

As application default behavior, so there isn't much or any changes that can be done about it.
